Established in 1975, founder Don “Stoney” Stonebrook set out to be a manufacturer of short run, custom fasteners. Over the last 50+ years we have become a full-service provider, manufacturer, and value-added center for a growing array of products to a wide variety of OEM’s and Distributors.
KJ’s focus has always been to serve our valued customers with superior quality products and timely deliveries. To meet that need, in 2007 we pursued and received our ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification. We’re very proud of this achievement and of the confidence that it gives our customers in knowing they are partnering with a vendor who ensures documented high industry standards throughout their entire supply chain.
Today KJ is comprised of three Strategic Business Units.

The onset of the 21st century brought exciting change and growth through a strategic merger with Stonebrook Machine and a unique acquisition opportunity with one of the most respected special fastener manufacturers in the Midwest. Exploring additional manufacturing resources and committing to ongoing innovation will be our mantra moving forward.
KJ is involved within the fastener industry and business community. We are charter members of the North Coast Fastener Association established in 1983. KJ is active in our area Chambers of Commerce and is a long-standing member of the National Federation of Independent Business.
KJ believes in smart, sustainable growth. Eight times we have been recognized by the Fast Track 50 Award from the Center for Business and Industry in Lake and Geauga counties. As a result, we were honored by our induction into the Fast Track 50 “Hall of Fame”, an achievement of which we’re very proud.
KJ has consistently committed to supporting our community. We were honored to be the first company to receive the Jack Miller Award for Outstanding Volunteer Organization for our partnership with the Lake County ADAMHS Board. KJ received the Certificate of Ohio Congressional Recognition and Achievement commemorating this award.
In 2023 we were honored with the Legacy Award from the Alzheimer’s Association Cleveland Area Chapter for our long-time top fundraising efforts for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
